Keep It Simple . . . The Way Jesus Did (Article) - 2/27/2006 8:09:40 AM
Good article - as a pagan I have argued many times that the message of Jesus was simply "try and behave a little better towards each other." Here and at other sites I constantly read articles (mostly from "fundamentalists") quoting the bible as saying things it just does not contain. Its time the fundies read their own holy book. best Ian

Welcome to the Family: A Parent Talks to Children About Lent (Article) - 2/2/2005 8:45:04 PM
I have now been a Christian-Catholic for ten years. I came into the church through my Parishes RCIA program. I belong to a parish that is in the Archdiocese of Chicago. Next year I celebrate my tenth year annivesary when I received all my sacraments of Rites of Christian Initation of Adults. God Bless, Lucie Annalen Wesson

Catholicism in a Nutshell (Article) - 2/2/2005 8:41:20 PM
I am a Christian First and A Catholic second. This is how my parish tells us. We are all one through Christ Jesus who loves us. One must be a Christian to be a Catholic. To be a Catholic accordign to RCIA is to be a Universal Christian and preach the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the salavation he gives to all of us who believe in him. God Bless, Lucie Annalen Wesson

Whose Side Is God On? (Article) - 2/5/2004 9:13:44 AM
This was great. I would say it like this, too: God is on my side. Any of us can say that. Whether we attend to His help, resource, and guidance is on us.

Reflections of a Late Bloomer (Article) - 6/10/2002 7:14:22 AM
Once again a well-written article to which I can relate so well! My wife and I have been married nearly 14 years and counting. We have a handsome, healthy and wholesome son. He is a 5-yearold pre-primary school kid and we think he is the ant's pants. The feeling is recipocated. I am 78 years old and my wife is nearly 40. Long live longevity! (especially if one is fortunate enough to be a "mature age" dad!) Best regards, Patrick Talty

Elements of a Successful Family (Article) - 6/10/2002 7:03:40 AM
I relate very much to the message in this well-written article. I am into my THIRD marriage. I failed in my previous marriages because I lacked the maturity to reflect on the very important guidelines presented so eloquently in your artcle. Fortunately I had achieved the required maturity and had learned the lessons forged on the anvil of previous experience by the time I entered into a commitment to my third wife. We have now been married nearly 14 years and have a 5 year old son. We have survived the dangers of age gap (she is 40 years younger than I)and culture gap (I met her during a 12 months teaching assignment in China). We both want the marriage to last and therefore it will. We subscribe to the philosophy articulated in your writing and look forward to many years of continuing happiness with our beautiful son. Thanks for posting this article. Patrick Talty.

Dad's Longest Day (Article) - 3/2/2002 6:52:13 AM
It's amazing that Christina can remember her experience at age 3, but then again it was an intense situation, so the memory would be greatly impressed. And so am I. This is a wonderful positive story with great appreciation coming from the daughter. I feel good for having read it.

Earth Mother” (Poetry) - 7/10/2009 11:56:02 PM
Aloha Alfred, Wow...You just did a fantastic job of pre-writing history from a personal perspective, describing what personal relationships and family life was during a tragic natural disaster. To my mind, you have been thoughtful and imaginative and have taken an unusual step: adding voices from the past. Keep up the great work! Graduation 2003 . . . Wedding 2010 (Poetry) - 5/22/2008 9:14:19 AM
A speaker at my grad in 1962 said the best days of our lives would be remembered school day. But forging ahead in the world did take lots of work and is still challenging to me. Oh that she is ready to take the challenges of the world upon her too. Forward is the only way to go.

Aging Actor (Poetry) - 9/29/2004 12:07:04 PM
I have to agree with Deborah, interesting form of poetry, 4-6-4 in syllables. At least I think that is what it was? It was a great three lines of wisdom and new life happening to an old age actor. Tells the world that one can never stop growing and loving. Even at the young age of "say 61"? That is how old my Mother is at the moment. I am the baby of the family and just turned 34 years. Excellent poem! Kijuana
