In Dreams

     It was late one night, and I had been sleeping well, but I needed to
get up to use the bathroom.  I went into the bathroom and turned on the
light.  I gasped, there was a man standing there , and I tell you, I nearly
fainted.  I could not believe there was a man in my house.  I was petrified.  The man said to me, I have not come here to frighten you nor
to harm you in any way.  I've come here to ask you some questions.  Who are you, I asked.  You know me.  I don't know you!  You think about it, calm down, look at me and think about it.  You know me. You do look familiar.  Yes, yes I look familiar.  Who am I though?  My heart sunk to my stomach, it hit me and I realized who he was.  I said, oh my gosh, I do know you.  It's been over 30 years since I've seen you.  How have you been Dad?  I'm afraid I'm not your dad.  You have to be my dad!  Think about it.  How old would your dad be?  Let me see now,  wow, July 7th he would be 80 years old.  Oh my, you're not 80 though.  I figure you to be in your fifties.  Who am I?  Who am I he kept asking.  I don't know!  You do know!  Look at me, think about it.  Who am I?  Oh my gosh, it can't be true .  What can't be true ?  Who I think you are.  Who do you think I am?  You're me, you are me.  Yes, yes I am you.  What have you done with your life?  Have you done anything to better the welfare of mankind?
Have you fed the hungry, or befriended the lonely?  Have you prayed for the sick and the unsaved?  What have you been doing with your life?  You mourn alot in your own pity.  Your pain, you concentrate on that too much, in fact, so much you waste your time.  The time, as you can see goes extremely fast.  Look at you.  Take a good look, you've gotten old.  I got on my knees and I began to pray.  Lord, Jesus, have I done these things?  Have I been true  to you?  Lord if I have not done these things, please forgive me of my sins, and help me Lord to do all these things, I ask in Jesus name.  I got up from my knees but he was still there.  I said, why don't you just leave, I'm dreaming.  Why don't you leave now!  He said, I have one more thing to tell you.  What is it? I replied.  You're not dreaming.  I am dreaming!  No, no, you're not dreaming.  Feel me, go ahead, feel me!  Feel you?  Feel my shoulder right here.  Oh my goodness, I can't believe it, I'm only looking in the mirror.  It's true , I'm not dreaming.  Look at how old I've become.  Where do the years go?  Gosh, it just goes so fast.  It seems like my sons 
should still be little children.  My wife, young as ever, beautiful lady.  I've been blessed with my life.  So many miracles have been bestowed upon me.  Some I know not even about.  I thank you Jesus for my life.  
Help me Lord with the years I have left, or the days, to do everything 
humanly possible to glorify you.  For this life is to short, and one day I
shall be standing at your gate, and  you will say to me, why should I
let you enter my kingdom?  I will reply, because of the blood of your Son.
Because I believe!  I know he was crucified for me, and 3 days later he
arose.  I accepted your Son into my heart at the age of 16 and it is
through his blood that I shall enter.
