This story I just came up with one day. It's only 4 pages long and I didn't want to stop typing. This only took an hour to do. This is my true side of writing. I enjoy the spicy side of romance. Gets the blood pumping and the shivers down the body. You know the type. The kind that make you want to have a fan on.

Thump.

She could feel a pulse like a heart beat, in time with her body.

Thump.

“Is that my heart-”

A snap like a whip ripped the sky open. Nicky Shayne kept her eyes to the dirt road. Wasn’t it cement… Shaking her head she had to keep her mind on track.

Thump.

She stopped. Her long legs burned as she stood in the utter silence not even the wind made a sound. The steady down pour of rain drummed out anything else.

Except that thump, okay keep moving.

Did stopping give it time to get closer?

Lighting hit a near by tree as Nicky jumped out of the way of falling branch. “Damn.” The rain quickly put out the fire.

She was running again. To where? Away from danger or to it? “God I wish I knew.” The rain yielded no answer. The leaves shushed under her bare feet. Twigs stabbed at the bare flesh. “When did my high heels fall off?”

A rock seamed to sneak up on her as she kissed the wet ground. Wishing it had a mint she brushed off the leaves and dirt.

Pain tore though her body as she pulled herself up.

Keep going you half to get away.

The thumping stopped for a mere second. Who was that? That voice wasn’t hers.

Grabbing at braches she forced herself on. How did I get here?

The sky lit up as she nearly ran into a large overcastting rock.  Forcing herself to slide to a halt pain tore though her wrist as she stopped herself.

Taking in a breath was like trying to take in mud. Her throat felt like a velcro pad. Forcing herself to relax her mind started to piece together what the hell was going on. One she was in a forest or someplace like it and two she was lost. The one question she couldn’t answer was, where was he?

I’ll find you.

Her head spun around the voice sounded so close but it felt so far away.

Move.

The voice didn’t sound threatening her legs begged her to stop, to rest. They craved strength, energy.

Another clap of thunder hit the sky as her green eyes caught what looked like something or someone ahead of her. It looked like who ever it was holding it’s hand out, calling to her.

She grew closer, until she was within a few feet. Sliding to a stop she let the pain come, it was everywhere all at once. Her breath pushed out of her chest as fast is she drew in air.

His eyes looked on hers as he pushed his hand to the heaven. Light pulsed out around him like the sun rising to the darken world.

“Stop.” His voice rang out like the thunder around them.

Nicky stood their in silence, utter silence not even the rain made a sound. Nothing did. Looking around the rain stood still in the air, a streak of lighting was held tight in the heavens.

Arden -” The look in his eyes caught her breath as he pulled her to him.

Fire pulsed around his body. “I can give you rest.”

Arden-

Her voice was silenced as his lips found hers. The long black hair fell around her face. Each strand was like a finger sliding over her skin. Breaking the kiss he let his lips trail down her neck. “I have stopped time.”

“You’ll die…” His tongue found the vain in her neck.

“I must or the world will end. You awoke me knowing the risk.”

“I wanted you back.”

“I want this one moment with you.” He smiled as he let out a breath. “Take me to your heart, and I’ll be alive forever.”

Her head fell backwards as his fangs slip into her flesh. Every cell in her body erupted in with fire. Her body shook as she felt the wave pulse though her body.

Her eyes opened as his fangs slid out. “I am so sorry, for causing the end. You will see the future.” His hands slid round to her slender back.

Energy raced though her body as she kept her gaze on his. He slid her onto the ground. The skirt she had on was torn and caked with mud.

Arden…I want you to live-”

His hands slid up her legs. They parted without hesitating. Two fingers slid past the soft pink flesh into the warmth of her innersole. Could she really take his life force to save the world? Her eyes fell on his pants, as they slid down. Her body pulsed as his cock pulsed as he moved down to her.

He could feel his energy leaving him time would return he held out for as long as he would be able to.

Her body accepted him, arched for more. Her eyes looked up past him. A drop of rain started to move and then it just stopped.

Arden…”

Tears fell from his eyes; every ounce of energy was leaving him with each thrust. He looked up to the world around him. The darkness was lifting that had started at his awakening.

Her arms wrapped around his back her nails racked down the muscles under his shirt.

Arden slid his hands up to meet hers as their fingers interlocked. Their bodies melted together.

The final burst of energy was reaching its breaking point. Time and his life force interlinked in this brief moment.  Nicky raised her legs to lock him in place, every fiber of her being could feel each beat of his heart slower than the last.

She would hold him froze in time, hold him in his heart, even for this one time. Her voice was gone, the words she needed to say lost in time. Only her thoughts would work in this place could she connect to him?

All I wanted was just one last time, but not like this.

It was destiny I was never meant to be...

Her yes flew open as drops of rain hit her chest.

“No.” Her voice echoed into the world as Arden was gone.

What is truly endless? Time or love?
