Do You Believe In Ghost?
Have you Ever Seen A Ghost?
Well! listen to this true Story.

I have!
It didnít occurred past The midnight hour, I didnít hear any scary organ music
No fog, spider webs, no distorted oak tree, knocking on my window pane, as itís branches bend due to the heavy winds, during a rain storm, on a warm summer night.

The apparition I witnessed, didnít possessed bulging eyes, high pale cheek bones,
Like something from a Stephen King or John carpenterís nightmarish movies, no fangs, claws, nor was it salivating , drooling , nor foaming on the mouth, trying to feed upon my brains, it didnít extract itself off the wall, like a hideous shadow from ďDanteís InfernoĒ.

My vision occurred, at approximately 2:30PM, mid noon I would say, on a hot beautiful clear tropical day, We had just arrived to stay with friends. That waited our occasional visit, to their humble, comfortable dwelling, The Host a friend of the family, graciously greeted us upon arrival, with a warm hug and kiss, insisting we make ourselves at home immediately, while she bathe and changed clothes.

For we had surprised her upon our visit, My wife and I feeling at home made some snacks and refreshments, dinning in the eat in kitchen, after nursing our refreshments, for a while, I excused myself, walked towards the living room, through a long narrow foyer, leading to the other side of the house, searching for our host husband, who to my knowledge was not at home, I later found out that he was at the airport, picking up a friend, and neighbor.

I turned around to return to the kitchen, where my wife at the moments was cleaning after us, I was looking directly at my wife, when a person exit the den turned right towards me and passed me by in the narrow foyer, entering the guess room, where we were supposed to sleep for the night,

What I saw was the shadow of a short stocky woman walking fast, since the foyer area was kind of dark, I was unable to see her face, all I saw was a soft blur for a face, I thought it was our host (Sara), But at the same moment I was listening to the shower running , so I was immediately aware that Sara was still taking her shower, I donít know how else to describe what just occurred, I looked at my wife puzzled, She too had a puzzled expression upon her face, she asked me ďDid you see her?Ē I replied, I saw something But donít know who it was, I asked my wife was that Sara? My wife calmly replied, ďNo ,that was Silvia, (Saraís sister, who passed away, exactly a year ago to this date).

My wife called out Saraís name, Sara detecting excitement in my wifeís voice, as she replied from within the bathroom, Exclaiming why did you see her too? Followed by another calm statement, sheís always here ,we see her a lot.

I never had the privilege to meet Silvia, while she was alive, all I knew of her, was that she was a very special and close friend to my mother- in - law, they grew up together from childhood, My mother-in-law always talked about me and what a nice person I was and how lucky Cookie (my wife) was to have married me. Thatís my mother- in -law
Always building me up, as the super cool great guy I was (Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha all exaggerations).

On the year before Silvia died, My wife told her, I wanted to meet her, for I had been told wonderful things about her, she felt the same way about me, but the Great Lord above, had other plans for the beloved Silvia, He embraced her, taking her, onto His breast, He within all His wisdom, removed the great privilege from me to ever meeting Silvia.

After mourning the lost of a wonderful friend and stranger to me, we were invited By Sara to stay with her for a few days at her house, thatís when this beautiful story Began to unfold, Looking back at the situation,I donít ever remember, being scare during the whole encounter, As a matter of fact, My wife and I searched the room, I had seen her enter, which was the room assigned to us for our few days stay, we searched high and low, in the closets and specially under the bed, we were not afraid, but I must admit I myself was a bit uncomfortable sleeping where the unknown shadow of a Lady disappeared into.

I donít remember any fear, maybe because our gracious host Sara had implied , That Silvia came to keep her word, ďTo meet me and that she did.Ē I didnít fear what I saw then nor to this day, Yet I still Pray for her, whenever she crosses my thoughts I pray to The Lord above, that she is with Him In Paradise.

PS Ö. The following year we returned for another visit to see Sara, We departed from Sara House on a Cruise while on our last leg of Port of calls, we stopped at Saint Thomas, and decided to call Sara, to see how they were doing, and to informed them that we were to docking the next day, thatís when Justice (Saraís Husband) unloaded the sad news to us, that Sara had passed away several days ago and that she was already Buried..

William...At my age and with the experiences I personally had, and stories from others, I am a firm believer as to the strength from beyond. This " gift " as I call it, derives I believe as an entity to guide us, some people are just more sensitive to the occurrence. Many are signs of warning. To answer your question Yes I believe..
You did a good job of setting the scenario on this subject. sorry the husband did not call ur wife re: Sara's passing..

okay, I have one for you, we rented a beach house on the Cape. There were two bedrooms upstairs. One for the kids, one for us. we had to move a dresser out of the room to fit the crib for my daughter and my son would sleep in the single bed. That night the crib would just shake violently and scratch across the floor, I went into the room and the crib would be still and she would be sleeping.(she wouldn't be strong enough to do that anyway) My son, who was a toddler at the time, was asleep as well. I Went back to bed. Same thing. This went on for two nights. The third night we put the dresser back in the room and moved her and my son downstairs.!!! After we left and talked with the owners they admitted that in the basement the previous renters couldn't get the lights to turn off. That is the last house we have ever rented!

I believe you William, because a supernatural occurrence happened to my brother. In fact I have the full story on Authorsden, titled, A true story of the supernatural.
Anyway, I enjoyed this piece. However, I personally would have been out of there in about two seconds had I witnessed it. But as I say, If they are there, then there surely must be little doubt of Gods existence.

I love your story, it is so filled with passion, that from the beginning I knew that you were not afraid. It captured me as I read, I felt as if I was there. You see, I live with ghosts as well, although I am not sure who they are. I have believed since I was a little girl and a gentleman helped me find my way out of the woods. I am 58 years old now, and my friends are still with me, some new ones as well.

I really liked the thrown-together style of this piece--very Beat, and reminds me of Kerouac, or at least how Kerouac wanted to be. I, right now, am struggling with whether my first impressions are better for their clumsiness or whether it is better that I meticulously rewrite each tale word by word. Something tells me that there's genius in "typing, not writing," as Capote once said about Jack K., that gets erased when we pore over our work too heavily.

Excellent story my friend, and you write good
As a matter of fact, I can relate to this and think of it as natural
I have had many encounters with ghosts during my life, and sure can tell you some to make your hair stand up.
England is famous for this kind of thing, and I was fortunate to experience the other side as it is called on many occasions
may be I should write about them, never thought of it
Thank you for a wonderful write

Yes, I do believe in Ghosts. Never seen one, though I would not be afraid if I did. So many unknowns in this world. I listen to TALK RADIO 580 at nights when I cannot sleep and many nights George Norry has people on phone telling about their ghosts. So many people have seen them there has to be something to it.

I definately believe, William; but I call them Spirits. I had 4 personal encounters in the three years after my husband's death; like you, in one instance I had a relative to corroborate an event.

I'm glad you and Silvia finally met; 'twas meant to be. Thanks for sharing, friend.

I've seen all sorts of phenomenon: sparks, mists, orbs, apparitions, apparition flashes (a flash of their head & shoulders), balls of light, shimmering (looks like water), and moving objects. I've also experienced unexplained water drops, contact in dreams, unexplained voices & touches, and unexplained music. One day I saw a mist transform into an orb. Then it shot across the room. The whole thing happened in less than three seconds. Not everyone gets to experience what you saw. Spirits do bring a feeling with them when they appear and they make you feel that same feeling. You are very lucky to have seen a good, kind one. I have mostly experienced the other sort. I loved your story. They are all around us. The question is can we sense them, or do they feel like showing themselves. Sort of a passion of mine. When you live with them, they are quite difficult to ignore...lol! I especially like the beginning of your story! Thanks for sharing this:)

William,

Not seen, but felt. My daughters mother and I rentend a house in historic Marshalville, Ga. The end of the rail line for union prisoners who had to walk the rest of the way to Andersonville prison.

This particular lady loved her yard and planted flowers everywhere. the house had been empty since she had passed two years before and the yard had overgrown with weeds and chocked out her precious flowers. I mowed the lawn and in the spring all her flowers came back in full glory and gave us a wonderful sight. I had felt this womans presence near me as I would work in the yard. Smiling her approval.

One night as I was in the awake/sleep state I felt a weight upon me that actually woke me up, but because of the weight I still was sorta pinned to the bed. the feeling was not malevolent but loving. I believe it was the lady coming to hug and thank me for letting her beautiful flowers come to life again.

William,
Yes, I've always believed in ghosts. I haven't seen one, but would like too. I've heard too many stories for ghosts not to be real. I worked with a lady who had the ghost of an old woman in her attic. Everytime my friend Debra would play religious music the ghosts would become angry and you could hear her pacing. I wanted to visit Debra and see this ghost for myself, but she moved. I cannot blame her, the ghost wasn't a nice one. Once it had tried to choke her when she was in bed. Enjoyed reading this William. Anymore ghost stories??

Blessings,
~Linda

Yes, William, I do believe in ghosts. I have seen several, but one in particular stands out. Shortly after my mom passed away (Dec.2005), I was lying on the couch with my eyes half closed thinking about her, when suddenly a woman appeared in front of the other couch my son was sleeping on. She had black shoulder length hair, wearing a black and purple striped sweater with black pants that had white pinsize stripes. She was picking grapes (why grapes, I don't know). I watched her for awhile, feeling completely at peace and in awe. She stayed a few minutes then vanished. I felt hope after she left that mom was at peace.
thanks for sharing your experience William. I'm glad I stopped by your den to read this true story.

I have only been an eye witness on one occasion. We rented a small house for a short time while waiting for the closing of our farm. I was a bit disturbed being in the old house by myself, I could never put my finger on it, but the house was creepy. One day while I washed dishes I was also praying...just having a conversation with the Lord, when a very light cool yet creepy breeze brushed against me...I turned to see what it was, as I was in the house by myself with my son who was four at the time and napping on the sofa. I saw a dark misty shadow pass through the kitchen and into the next room. Scared the daylights out of me...we moved from the house soon thereafter, I kept this story to myself for a number of years, I finally told my father inlaw about the incident, and he told me that the original owners of the home had practiced black magic in the house, that this man whom practiced such a horrible thing could actually make tables walk, and doors open...so I think the ghost I saw was an evil spirit...the house burned to the ground shortly after we moved...one experience that I never want to witness again. However, our farmhouse has been said to have a ghost...I've not seen her yet, but have had some unusual experiences, lights coming on in the middle of the night, televisions turning on, cd players...and doors open...but the old couple that built this house were the only other tennants and both wonderful people, the lady was the last to pass...and she dearly loved this house, she hardly ever left for anything...maybe she is still around, but I've never been afraid here and always a good spirit about the house unlike that of the other one...great write my firend!
