Ben looked at his young partner with compassion; Jerry's blue expressive eyes flashed with a gloomy expression.
...Keeping silence, the youth sat on the front seat, next to Ben, who was driving according to the rules...

... In the front of the limousine the bodyguards exchanged glances. They both guessed what was going on in the salon, and Ben looked at his young partner with compassion; Jerry's blue expressive eyes flashed with a gloomy expression.
"Jerry," Ben said softly as he pulled at a corner of his moustache with his teeth. "You're such a basket case, you know. What did you expect?"
"Not this!" he hissed, closing his eyes for a second.
"Oh, please, give me strength! You knew they loved each other, didn't you! Look, buddy boy, you should've known it'd happen sooner or later!"
"Don't rub it in," the youth whispered, not looking at him. He felt no love for Martha but almost hatred. In his mind he was calling her all the bad names that he knew, and even made up a few more, but he wanted to cry at the same time.
Ben sighed, and fixed his eyes on the road again....
