From "Fateful Love"
This evening they were sitting on the porch of her hut, watching the sunset.
"What could be more beautiful!" Martha exclaimed, when the sinking sun turned the ocean into a flaming carpet, and the blazing heaven was fighting the advancing blackness of the night.
"Venus!" Martha screamed, pointed the bright blue star that appeared on the darkening sky. Playfully, she glanced at her fiancé, and teasingly shook her loosened hair.
"The goddess of love!" he pronounced, embracing Martha.
They sat hugging each other until the dark won, and the magic tropical night reigned here with all its enchanting beauty.
"I spent all my life in the city," Martha whispered as if she was afraid to frighten away the charisma of the moment. "I've never seen so many stars."
"With the naked eye people can see only about three thousand of them," Robert explained with a smile.
"Really? I thought here are millions!" She paused, and spoke slowly; "How insignificant are all our reasons to be upset in view of the countless number of other worlds. How trifling are all our problems when compared to the Greatest Mystery of Creation... Truly, the heavens are proclaiming the glory of God!"
He hissed and jerked back, releasing the girl.
"Is it necessary to declare the Psalms even in my arms?" he demanded with irritation in his voice.
"Do you know this hymn?" Martha asked, surprised.
"19:1, if you persist! But I believe, what the show that I had prepared for you is much more spectacular than the ordinary moonless sky!"
Exactly as she was dreaming, a loud bang thundered above them, and the stars almost vanished, disappearing in the numerous sparks of fireworks.
Squealing with delight the girls sprang from their cottage, adoring the performance.
