In the UK we have a box of chocolates called minature heros and we love them. But what I would like to bring to your attention, are the minature heros that are seen in scripture, but very rarely brought to the forefront of our minds.
If you read the story of David you will find one hiding there, next to King Saul. It was his servant. When Saul was being tormented by an evil spirit, the servant suggested, that Saul should ask David to come and play the harp, to help him in his time of need. This was the second time Saul's attention had been directed to David, the next king. So even though a small suggestion, on the servants behalf. He was a servant that, I believe, was guided by the spirit of God, into the purposes of God. He was someone that kept his eyes open, as far as God and His purposes were concerned. He was in the right place at the right time and when prompted, said the right thing, that opened the door for David to enter the palace and consequently win favour with Saul.
This maybe the only thing that was recorded about this servants life. But it is better to have one small act of obedience recorded that changed the course of another persons life, than to have none at all.
Just remember when you look at those that God seems to use in an outstanding way, that the only way God's generals get to where they are, is because of people like you and me, who have helped them in some way, through encouragement or doing the right thing at the right time.
You are a HERO!
