This happen to me a couple of weeks ago while leaving work and has had me on an emotionally rollcoaster ever since time to let it go!!

two weeks ago while leaving work I was almost attacked by a metal patient that was releaed from the hosiptal i work for, was walking and talking to my bestie on the phone when an elderly man walks up to and asks "who I was talking too" I say excuse me and back up but he keeps walkint toward me, there are cars at the light and a bus at the light, you would think people would help but they didnt, he asks me the same question again this time he's in my face about to swing to hit me I start running in between cars and he finally walks away. I survived this but forgotten no. It bothers me that something like this happened to me and two no one cared enough to help me or call the police.

is this what the world is has come too??? Is this what the future holds for you to see another human being in need and you turn the other cheek? A part of me feels lost on the whole human kindness thing, Does it still exist? Do we as people generally still care about what happens to one other or do we live life with blinders on livng in our glass houses.

What hurts the most if this elderly lost in his mind man would have hit me no one would have known except my bestie who heard me scream into the phone. He could have knocked me out if i hadnt run from him, my boyfreind was at work miles away, my besties was at home miles away.

I could have been laying on the sidewalk for hours just because people dont care enough to help. I'm angry because this is so not how i thought human beings act when comes to seeing another down, was raised to help my fellow man not turn away when something goes wrong. I was afraid of what could have happened to me it's caused me to go into a state of depression, But I'm ashamed that people no longer care enough for one another to reach out and help. If it does'nt affect us or our well being it does'nt matter!!!
