It’s tough being a writer.
Today was a horrendous day on the golf course. The weather was cool for June and the course, located on scenic Lake Lanier in Georgia, was beautiful but my score was not. I should have spent this time writing.

Following the disastrous round of golf, mowing the wet grass at home was painfully slow and very labor intensive. I should have let the grass wait until next week and spent the time writing.

Just like yesterday the methodical covering and uncovering the tennis courts while watching the mid afternoon TV coverage of The Wimbledon Open on ESPN 2 was disappointing. I should have spent this time writing.

Late afternoon naps give me a headache. I should have spent the time writing.

It’s time to prepare dinner, wash the pots, pans and dishes and lie down on the sofa to let my food digest. Ooooh! Indigestion! I should have spent the time writing.

Since arising at 5:30 a.m. to play golf this morning, I’m exhausted and need to head to the bedroom for a good nights sleep. It’s still early and I should be writing.
