Clean is slick
Or soft
Or squeaky.
No matter its texture
Its smell is itself.

Of life
From its beginning,
Consigned to forever
The ubiquitous soul
Knows it all.

Every moment
Is of the essence.
If not in the present
Then in the memory
And thus
In the gut.

The hand I hold
That holds mine too
Isn't there to see
But it is warm.

Life is not
For dreaming
In the pale
Warm sun,
It is doing
Living
While the clock ticks -
Time's run.

Now I'm taking
Two steps forward
And only one step back.

Than relegate
Chastisement
And exhortation
To someone else.

Provide a time
For keeping in touch.
It means so much.

To live it
And it is dusk.

Big and small
