Even though we grow up different, we remain friends for a life time.

One day, deep beneath the murky waters of the big goldfish pond, a small goldfish swam all alone.  The other goldfish it seemed were not interested in swimming with a fish as young as he.  Feeling sad, the little goldfish swam, slower and slower through the big pond.  Suddenly, a bug swam right into the little goldfish, sending him swirling and tumbling through the water!  The bug, about the same size as the little goldfish said, “I’m so sorry, didn’t see you there.”  The little goldfish replied, “It’s alright, no one usually does see me.”  The bug, understanding what the goldfish meant said, “Hi, my name is Dara and I am an ugly bug.”  Looking a bit surprised by this news, the little goldfish replied, “My name is Sandar and I am too small to play games with the big fish.”  From that moment on, Dara and Sandar swam through the big pond together, played games and laughed all summer long.  They became such great friends, but things were changing.  Sandar was getting some what bigger and Dara found it harder to keep up with him.  Sandar noticed changes in Dara too, she was becoming bigger and her body was changing colors!  Then one day while swimming through the pond, Sandar couldn’t find Dara any where!  He asked all of his friends and they hadn’t seen her for a while.  His best friend, where could she be?  He decided he must dare to look where all goldfish were afraid to look.  Sandar swam towards the surface of the pond!  Being very brave, Sandar began to take a look around on the surface of the pond.  Then he saw her!  She was a beautiful color of deep blue and green, with yellow on her wings!  Then, flying down to the pond, Dara spotted her best friend Sandar and made her landing by the edge of the water.  Sandar said, “Dara!  You have changed!”   Indeed she had.  Dara had become a beautiful dragonfly.  To this day, if ever you should see, a dragonfly by the water’s edge of the big goldfish pond, think of the two best friends coming together again.
