we cannot ever know or appreciate the other
for space
for time
to live and dream
for dreams of beautiful places
and people
past, present and
                               future
for the kiss
for parents
whose babies are fighting
war, poverty, hunger, disease
for children, no matter how old
for those who have passed on
we honor you always
and wished we had listened before, but we hear you now
as your gentle voices whisper to us in our dreams
for all animals, birds, reptiles and
                               fish
and spiders, ants and...bugs
for the beautiful trees
flowers
and earth beneath our feet
for the sight to avoid problems
and lack of sight to bumble straight into them
and the intelligence to find positive solutions
regardless of which it is
thanks for everything
God, Yaweh, Creator, Allah, Buddha, and whoever
we worship
for our different skin colors
and languages
and ideas
thank you for our humanity
may we find it if it is lost
and may its bearers be bringers of peace
and understanding
to the world
is it possible?
Now ask yourself, why not?
And say, "Thank you" for the answer.
