Some of you have been kind enough to ask how we are, so here is a brief update.I haven't felt inspired to write much lately.....
As many of you know, I have been having TIAs ( small strokes). Thank goodness they were small ones that didn't do much damage. The Doctor ordered a brain scan , which didn't show anything. Then an MRI was ordered. It showed I had sustained some damage to some area in my brain. It wasn't too bad tho and I feel I'm very lucky in that respect. They have put me on Plavix, which breaks up the formation of blood clots.. The medication is agreeing with me and hopefully, I won't have any more. I've had a few heart problems too and my medication has been increased. I also have some more memory loss, but its suttle and many times I don't realize its happening. Sometimes I think I'm going to beat the Alzheimers , but unless a cure is found, it won't happen.
We never give up hope tho and I know they are working hard to find a way to combat this deadly illness .
My husband has continued to have problems, especially with his heart keeping in sinus rythum. The cardiologist recently put him on a new medication for the problem and so far it's helping him. He remains in Lasix ( a pill to get rid of excess water in his body) and Potassium ( a vitamin needed to keep the electrolyes in balance) He's on fliud restiction and a low salt diet. His short term memory loss seems worse than mine and I notice it. He's had stomach problems and has a hernia now. He can not have surgery for it as he's a poor surgical risk.
We both are better than we were and we count our blessings as each new day comes. Life is precious and we try to make the most of it.
Thank you for your prayers and concern . God Blees you!...Mary Grace

YOU ARE A SPECIAL KIND OF PERSON...GOD HAS HIS STRONG ARM OF PROTECTION AND KEEPING AROUND YOU. YOU HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BEAR WHAT A LOT OF US COULD NOT...I WONDER IF YOUR FAMILY REALIZES WHAT A 'SPIRITUAL TREASURE' THEY HAVE AMONG THEM. KEEP TRUSTING IN GOD, MARYGRACE, AND MAY YOU BE CONTINUOUSLY STRENGTHENED AND UPHELD BY HIS HANDS. MUCH LOVE AND BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOURS,

| So good to hear from you again, MaryGrace. I've wondered about you and your husband. Glad your health has improved and I pray both you and your husband will have good days ahead of you. This is a beautiful time of year and I bet that lake in your backyard is gorgeous. I hope you are finding time to get outside in the fresh air. God bless you, MaryGrace and may good health be yours. |

| MaryGrace, it is always so good to hear from you my friend -- it is good to know that you and your husband are currently coping fairly well with your health issues -- my experiences with two mild strokes last year left its mark -- subtle differences that now and then cause little mental stumbles -- my prayers and thoughts will be with you and your husband MaryGrace -- may the light of love be always with you -- Jon Michael |

I can relate to what you're going through, MG. Both you and your husband will be in my prayers, my friend. For the last several months I have had small TIAs myself, and I am scheduled for a brain scan this coming Monday morning, May 3, in Boston, MA. You both take care of yourselves and God bless.
