of all the earth, and every tree,
in the which is the fruit of a tree
yielding seed; to you it shall be for
meat.
The revival
tent covered
in sheaves of
wheat, Pot luck
ham studded with
cloves, Carter family
brought the brownies,
there was plenty of cash,
and it
rained,
they gathered
around the tent
stoves, minstrel
mouth harps blow,
wet buds
are impossible
to smoke, the earth
bourbon whiskey-still peat
fire dried out the marijuana,
the livery stable rolled twelve
herb cornhusk spokes times four,
the bible was silent on methods of
preparation,
whores
painted a
white chalk line,
troubadours sang
minstrels about God's
green herb growing wild
in the Old West, inspired
free thinkers carried it in
their vest, The Sundance
Wives tell it cut and dry, Pussy
is meat, raw and nourishing,

And to every beast
of the earth, and to every
fowl of the air, and to every
thing that creepeth upon the
earth, wherein there is life, I have
given every green herb for meat:

| Haha!! Gotta love that famous biblical phrase, "pussy is meat" / Ah the Sundance Wives were merely carrying on an old tradition of the variation of the old standard, Smoke Get in Your Eyes. What the hell do you think Eve plucked from the Garden to tempt Adam with along with her nubile charm? Weren't no apple I'm betting a sawbuck. For the Sundance Wives this one was a bit tame, and that is good, we need to catch our breath. By tame I'm not saying it was dull, not in the least, in fact I really did get off on your laid-back style with this one Sage . . . |
