Estasay

I wrote this in creative writing. It is a drug used by young people to make them feel good and it is also a very dangerous chemical.

                                    ESTASAY

There are many ways of being in a state of estasay. It could be in a spiritual experience, in a relationship or marriage, in a high personage like a Pope, President, King or Queen, new home or car or winning the lottery.

However, we are talking about a drug here, an illegial drug which puts one on a high, similiar to alcohol but the side effects are different, so I am told.

I had this dream that I came upon these young people using this drug for recreation. They had just enough to be feeling good. Some were singing and dancing, some were half-clothed, some were kissing and making out. All were relaxed and happy. Not aware of what was going on around them. Only one thing on their minds FUN. You might say they were in a state of euphuria. This went on a long time as I witnessed.

Suddenly things changed. A witch, dressed in black with a pointed hat, appeared on the scene. She had a black pot like the ones people boiled clothes for washing in the old days. She filled it with something red (blood) I presumed.and started handing it out to the guest. There was a tray of poisoned apples also. The young people began to eat and drink and soon everything changed again.

There mood changed to gloom. They began to fall out. Some seemed to be dead. They were not. Just drugged again. This lasted thru the night. In the morning they looked haggered and distressed. Trying to remember what happened, they were lost in a fog. No memory. They were looking for a cure to regain the euphuria they had before. No luck. All of the drug was gone. They began to get angry, fuss and carry on. Finally they came down from the mountain for what goes up must come down. The law of gravity.

This is a good lesson for all of us. We must always be in control, in balance and in awareness. Too much of a good thing can be bad for us.

This came to me in a dream but it could happen just this way.

The lesson to be learned here is : "Keep viligent for the evil one never sleeps.".

If to much of a good thing is bad for us then how much worse is to much of a bad thing. Drugs make you high for a while but you have to come down sometime. I was and am high on life. I have nowhere I want to go but up. If being with the Pope or president can make you feel high, how much higher can being with our creator make you.
Your point is a good one.
God Bless,
Lew
