Kindness unfulfilled, handouts expected
without gratitude, disapointments-- yes
A cold and evil world we live in.

The car I gave away
Stands at my neighbors
To view

The tears I shed
Cannot wash
The pain away

It would not run
For me
Now, it is like new

My marriage was
A failure too
Another knew what to do

How could I be
So wasteful
For things so dear to me

Do not blame another
Who directs
Your decisions

You have a right
To your mind
You know

They will steal
From you
If you let them

Have you sign
Your life away

Put you in the
Old Age Home
Now that all is
Taken away

No more is left
But your Soul
And this you must
Give to God

All is Dust And
Will Be Swept
Away

This is Life
My Friend
There is no other Way

Wow.. how extraordinarily powerful this little gem is, Marguerite!
It bears reading more than once.

Praise the LORD for giving us the power to reason.. and for His forgiveness, when each and every one of us recognizes that the error of our own ways has messed things up good, at one time or another.

I'm deeply sorry for your losses.
