Both lived under that tie dyed t-shirt.

His skinny yet muscled arm protruded from the tie-dyed, t-shirt .  His shirt ablaze in orange, yellow, blue, green sun ray streaked shirt lay just over his beating heart, a heart that was like gold in its purity.  I remember that heart, kind, respectful, and loving.   I also remember what that heart became, addicted to the high, selfish, amoral, and manipulative.
Both lived under that tie dyed t-shirt. One was a fisherman, and lover of nature, a republican, ( I didn’t understand that part) the other a criminal, a thief stealing from ones he loved without hesitation.   He even stole from relationships until all he left was the anger, and the loss.
He was memorable, he was lovable, he was amoral and was finally asked to leave, was paid to leave, and his leaving will always be the lowest point in my life, and the grandest.
He was a study in self-destruction.
The days grow long and love has returned, although a one way street, in that I receive it.  Another gives me love and I am grateful and thank God for it.   I do relish the feel of love given me, I will however, always have the dream, a dream that shall never be fulfilled, of the grand love, the great love affair,  that can never be.   I would rather die then face that sort of exquisite pain again.

This piece reminds me a little of the 60's song by Mary Wells..."Two lovers" and yet it is distinctively different in the way it is spun making love the central point of view with the reality of what is...is and can never be changed. Well done, Sandi

2 Things:

Only Fool's Never Make Mistakes....

Your Just Rewards Are Not Of In This (Evil) Physical World...

Etal: (God) Threw Out That Rope Either You As I Hang On To It Or You Hang Yourself In The (Lasso) Loop...

I Can Show You Your Future Mate But, As All You Can't Believe In Beliving What I'd Show You,i.e. I Have Many Future Photos Of Many Thing's (Both Physical & Material ) In Lieu Of "NOT OF THIS WORLD"....

It's the primal lonelines Sandi, ultimate, destructive and entered at great risk. This is a wonderful concise piece that touches the heartstone. Good writing, well done!

All the heartbreak, heartache, anguish that lies beneath shows one incapable of forgiving one's self for the deeds of another. The guilt must be set aside to fullfill one's own quest in life. Guild is crippling and only leaves dispair. Be strong, see the light and you will learn to freely love another again. Relish in what CAN be changed and all else pack away, for all of life's experiences make us what we are at the moment.... All in all a well told story....

Be always safe,
Karen
