A Rocking Chairs Story
By Lew Duffey

Have you ever wondered what your furniture would say if it could talk? I know it sounds stupid but I have an old rocking chair that has been with my wife and I since we were married. It has helped raise three kids. This little fairy tale will be fun to read if nothing else.

very creative my friend...I loved this. I give my students a writing prompt each year about furniture, if your chair could talk what would it say. It is comical what they come up with, last year I had a little boy who continually leaned his chair back. When I assigned the prompt, he said...oh this is easy, my chair would say stop it! You're breaking my legs! Great write. Enjoyed this, my rocking chair would probably say, "please stop I am worn out!"

Creative, humorous, clever in such a twist of emotion with a rocking chair but it make sense; so why not? The illustration is one I like to use when I'm rocking my grand-daughter:) (((((hugs)))))))

Nice one, Lew. The voice of the rocking chair came through quite well. Imaginative! Loved the illustration, too!

What an amazing illusion, and good write, "I wonder what my rocking chair is saying?" Clever and witty write Lew, you've done it again. Thank you for reminding us that even a rocking chair...is so intimate in our lives.
