Magnet Drama Teacher Mesmerizes Audience as She Leads Classes in Musical

In the spring of 2002, magnet drama teacher Laraine Turner mesmerized a standing-room only auditorium as she lead around three magnet-art classes in an elementary school musical production entitled, "America, My Home." As she captivated the audience with a loud whistle to signal the entrance of the three classes, Turner twirled a baton vigoriously to the patriotic beat of "Stars and Stripes Forever."
Turner said, "My fantasy was always, for some reason, to twirl a baton the accompaniment of 'Stars and Stripes Forever.' This was not something I planned, but am very proud of and thankful to have been able to do. I will never forget this moment!"
Turner provides a photo of her after the production accompanied by the magnet children. "Blocks" are provided to protect the identity of the students.
