What, are you a moron? The story is short.
I nudged the door open.
The door swung a foot, maybe eighteen inches, then stopped when it hit an obstruction. The smell of cordite filled the room.
I pushed hard against the door and stepped through. He was in
there alright, his head was the obstruction. It was bent sideways at an
odd angle. i shut the door, and stepped closer to him. I nudged his
temple with the toe of my shoe and his head rolled sideways like a
billiard ball in a sock. His neck was broken. I squatted beside him and
felt his hand. Ice cold, as cold as hands ever get, but not so cold as
the .38 his cold hand held.
