My little town is undergoing a stand to legalize liquor here. One man is pushing it with petitions and such, and I suspect if it passes he will open the biggest bar in town. It will bring tax dollars to a poor little town, but I have mixed feelings about it.
Right now we have a few beer bars in town and I don't think they get a great deal of business. People who want hard liquor can go across the county line to buy it. However, this town is made up of merchants, family folks working on minumum wage(who can't afford to buy alcohol, and retirees like me. Under those circumstances, I have to ask if we really need liquor in this county?
