His spirit wait over two hundred years for his Isabella...The tale rises...Being true ...

The corridor is empty

As the suns ray set light upon

The floor of beautiful stone

Enough light to see the arm of Damascus

Waiting behind the stone pillar

The tale rises

Being true

I've come across the Atlantic

To see

This beautiful Castle

Empty more than two centuries now

Rumor has it

It has been told Damascus waits

To welcome his fiancee

Yet no one will pass the pillar

Inside of this beautiful Castle

In fear of his spirit

I've come to see for myself

After being left

A family member's diary

Of

A Grandmother Isabella

Written more than two hundred years ago

She wrote of Damascus

Her Love

They were to marry in Scotland

The two met on a visit in England

They fell madly in love

Not long after

Damascus sent word to her Father

Asking her hand in marriage

After consideration

Isabella's Father told her

She would return to Scotland

Where Damascus would take her for his wife

Isabella's heart race

She rushed up the steps

To tell her sisters of the news

Giggles could be heard

Throughout the hallway

Her sisters were thrilled for her

At the same time

Addie, her youngest sister

Tear in thought of her absence

Isabella and Addie were inseparable

Isabella told Addie in the spring

She could come for a visit

Addie hugged Isabella in happiness

Abigail told Addie

She might even meet a handsome bow

Isabella's Father sent word by messenger

That Isabella would leave next week by ship

For Scotland with an Esquire

The night before Isabella's ship was to sail

Her Father planned a social gathering

Relatives and close friends

It was a lovely evening

The following morning

Isabella and her Esquire left for the docks

Where the two would board the ship

Setting sails for Scotland

During her travel

She constantly wrote in her diary

Her love for Damascus

Longing to be his wife

Someday the possibility of giving him a son

Isabella could not wait to see Scotland

The Castle

She and Damascus would live in

That very night

A raging storm angrily struck the ocean

Waves were swept over in the ship

The men were throwing buckets of water

Back at the ocean as fast as it pour in

Women were sent below

Weeping in tears

Fearful of their escaping death

Isabella in her fright

Wrote furiously in her diary

Knowing this night could be her last

She wrote

My Dear Damascus

It is my love for you that bring me this far

The ocean is angry

I try to hold myself from fear

The ship sways in fury of the storm

I wish I were in your arms

Safe

It is your love

I long to caress Damascus

I pray

This anger God cast upon the ocean tonight

Fade into thin air

The ocean becoming calm once more

This was the last entry posted in Isabella's diary

She safely lock her diary in the safe in her quarters

That night the boat sank

Deep into the ocean

It would be almost one hundred years

Before her diary be discovered

Then returned to a distant relative

It was my Dear Grandmother

That left it to me

After a lot of research

Hearing of the tales of the Castle being haunted

I'm here to see for myself

If it is for real or a hoax

I was alone when I step toward the pillar

Utter a voice

Isabella, it's you

There stood Damascus before me

I was startled in fear

You must not be sad my Darling said Damascus

I've be waiting to hold you, my Dear

He steps forward to caress me

It dawned on me

His spirit had been waiting for my Grandmother

More than two hundred years

Thinking I was she, he kissed me

Then whispered

Forever my Love

His spirit fade away into thin air

Tears trickle down my cheek

I knew in my heart

He was at rest

With his true love Isabella

The light glows throughout the beautiful Castle

Almost as if their soul's were there

Finally together

To share their Love

Putting the Scottish ghost to rest
