Monsters in the Meadow
By Amy Sellers
32 Pg Picture book: grades 1-4
Pg 1- George was excited about the rainy season approaching. This meant the dry and tasteless grass just outside of his hole would soon turn lush, tasty and tender. His goal every season would be to eat as many of the new sprouts as he could before the grass grew tall, tough and seedy.
Pg 2 -He spun around in the cozy hole he dug which caused a dust cloud to rise. All of the little creatures sharing the tunnel leading to his hole scurried up and out to escape the spoiled air. First Edgar, the cranky squirrel popped his head out of the hole to make sure there were no wolves or snakes lurking near.
