How our thoughts both positive and negative affect how we live our lives. We do have a measure of control on our situations and circumstances. Inspired by a special person.
While it may be true that no one wants disruptions, whether purposefully or not, life is inevitably made up of irritants and other mixed emotions from people and other living things. This is because everyone’s energy is different. (This sounds guru-like, but it’s nevertheless true .) Some people’s energy happens to be positive and some people’s energy is negative, and there are varying degrees of both positive and negative emotions, where I personally think the worst is just plain indifference. The negative ones attract frustrations to them and the positive ones attract magical things to them. Fortunately, a few special ones of us are part of the magical people of the world, which puts you in a minority, the majority is the negative people. And the reality is that most people don’t believe in anything magical – which I think is quite tragic. Then you wonder whatever happened to what we were taught as kids, like I believe in fairytales in living happily ever after. When we become adults we filter out the magical things in life and try to deal with the stresses of reality – the reality that people create. It is necessary to always expect that there will always be both negative and positives that are always flowing. To give a short description as to whom I see negative energy. It is always pushing, it is aggressive and can try to push you down unexpectedly when you least want it to. It is always opposing the positive energy that is supposed to hold you up and support you, especially when you need it most. Positive energy, on the other hand, is a calm sort of energy that you almost feel that it does not exist at all. It is only when it is opposed by negative energy that you sense that the positive energy just flew out of the window. The negative comes at a time when it feels you need to be challenged and it will certainly challenge you and wants to see what you will do with it. Ever wonder when everything is going great and somehow deep down in your mind you think that things might just go awry? Then the storm hits with little or no warning and you are faced with an obstacle course. What do I do now? How do I react to this insidious force that literally came in and stole my happiness and good feelings? I may be made to feel inadequate and unfeeling, perhaps depressed and the worst thing can occur. I have begun to lose my belief in all things magical. As kids, our idealistic minds conjured up all kinds of ideas, stories and situations to make us believe that the world is a wonder place to live, which in fact, it is. Then just how do we turn the tide? We may either develop a sink or swim attitude to deal with the danger we are faced with. Christ himself always gave us many examples of sink or swim scenarios. If you remember him walking on the water, then you can certainly believe in all things magical amidst the storm. Peter, the oldest of the disciples, wanted to set an example for the rest, and ran out to meet his master. He actually walked on the water as well. But because he looked down and saw the raging waters and how dark and murky they looked and then the fear fell upon him that he would sink and then drown, then he did then actually sink as his mind told him he would. Jesus knowing his fear and lack of faith in spite of the storm reached out his hand and rescued him from drowning. The thing that our Lord told us to do is to have faith, even faith that can move mountains. Also, he made the much quoted and often misunderstood statement that, “The Kingdom of God is within you.” This implies that we need to work from within ourselves instead of wondering what other people are likely to think of us. Therefore, in order to attempt our situations and circumstances, we need to work on ourselves and then our surroundings will change accordingly. And then you ask, “Then how is that possible?” It really all has to do with our mind energy. Ever heard the saying, thoughts are things. They are in fact, as has been scientifically proven when you consider what usually causes most illnesses that stem from a psychosomatic nature. We can actually magically will into existence the people that we want to be around us and have our best interests at heart by constantly positively thinking that these people come into our reality. Amazingly, with time, people will start to think differently about you and who you are. New people will almost come out of “nowhere” and you will wonder where had these people been all of your life. Our very nature tends to deviate toward the negative, but with practice we can start to adopt positive thoughts that can bring the people you want to you. This can come about by always thinking nice things about people, whether you like them or not, and watch what happens within a short space of time. I think this practice goes in line with loving our enemies as ourselves. Observing the Golden Rule is of extreme importance when we need to love God above all in existence. God gives us all of our blessings, good luck, magic, and then some. Next, we love ourselves. Then we love our neighbors or others as ourselves. Some people might argue about how selfish it is love yourself before loving others. But that was in fact what Christ said if you break down the statement. We cannot possibly love people effectively with good results if we do not love ourselves. And that again comes from searching for the Kingdom of God within, as the Chinese through Taoist philosophy would put it, the “microcosm” or your mini universe within. Then there is the ever-popular series out called “The Secret”. The whole emphasis is again on the Law of Attraction through I believe essentially love as taught by Christ. If we indeed follow the greatest of all the commandments, which is not a suggestion by the way, then we can have the life we have always wanted. As I even tell my own kids, they should start by planting their seeds of love now because you’ll never know when you will need them. Don’t worry about how they’re going to grow, because any worry will not allow the seeds to grow. Nurture your seeds with love and they will grow and flourish and serve you well in life when you need them.
