I am glad to say that a year ago, I was on pain pills and addicted to them as well. My doctor would give me 20 pills of Vicoden and I would have them all used up by 3 days later, if I was lucky. This left me in shooting and stabbing pain until I could get “the next dose”.

This was a legitimate process until my first brainstem tumor/lesion was taken out on September 3, 1997. 

I still had pills and shots of Nubain as well. I slowly have gone off of those. I now, since March 7, 2005 to April 4, 2005 was in rehabilitation after the first tumor/lesion. I went to a 28-day program.

I am drug-free I am Happy to say! It has been over a year and very hard. I still get sharp and stabbing pain. Yet, I am learning how to live with it. I never would have been able to do this without the help of my family. They have been so good to me! I love my Mom and Sisters very much.
