Read on...

A girl once asked me “If a tree fell in the woods and nobody was around to hear it, would it make a sound?”

Without even hesitating I said “Yes it does.”

“How do you know?” The girl asked back.

Without hesitating I replied as matter of factly as I could “Because I am nobody and once I was in the woods and a tree fell and made a very loud crash which sacred the shit out of me.”

She just rolled her eyes and made and “L” with her fingers on her forehead as she turned ad walked away.

My name is John. I work at Mega-Mart. I stock shelves and help customers find what they need all day.

Could they get by without me?

Of course?

Could I be replaced by anyone off the street?

In a second.

Would any one miss me?

NO!!

Would anyone even notice I was gone?

Maybe by saying, what ever happened to that one guy?

What one guy?

You know that one guy who used to be in house wares?

I don’t know?

That’s how it would go. I could fall off the face of the earth and no one would miss me. I truly am nobody. Well was nobody that is until she came into my life..

Very interesting, Troy. Your character has a distinctive "voice" and I found myself chuckling more than once as I read. I'm hoping this is just the beginning of the story, because I would like to read farther and find out who "she" is that came into his life...
Very nice.
