There have been so many who have lost pets lately it seems. And quite a few stories about pets have been written too. I thought this would be a fitting reminder that they are all waiting for us at RAINBOW BRIDGE. Many of you have probably seen this before. For those of you who haven't, I hope this will bring peace to your aching hearts.
OOOOOOOOOO
Paul

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here on Earth, that pet goes to a place called Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows, fields and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to good health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind. Someone special are you and I.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never ever to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
THEN YOU CROSS THE RAINBOW BRIDGE TOGETHER and ENTER INTO HEAVEN.

I'll have to remember this and your page when my dear sweet old 17 year old cat who's been with me through all my struggles since 1991 goes. Hopefully she'll make it through the rest of 07, but the bacteria in the mouth is getting bad and she's being treated for HPB.
I live alone in the backwoods of Florida so she'll be missed, but sofar sogood, she's stll here.
You sound like a good guy to have in the neighborhood as they say,
I wish you the best in publishing success and will check out some of your poems when I have the chance. My sister lives in Vermont, I'm from L.I., NY. so New England is no stranger.
Best, michael guy |
