Toni Graeme spent a year in Yukon and nine years in the Northwest territories. She managed two election campaigns in Nunavut. Here she is the story teller of her experiences and adventures.
"There were two tables of men sitting around drinking and talking about mines and creeks, looking for all the world as if they had just come in from sluicing operations on their claim in a creek somewhere in the bus. This, 90 years after the big gold rush. Bars are plentiful in Whitehorse, in 1978 there were 43 in a population of only 10,000.
Speaking of prospectors reminds me of a one day drive I too into the bush......
