Charlie Two Hearts is about a young man in 1879. His dream is to leave home and be a cowboy. He finally gets that chance but it turns into a quest for a dying friend. Read Charlie Two Hearts and discover how this young man meets his challenges, becomes horse trainer and earns tha name 'Charlie Two Hearts.'

Charlie wanted to spend the rest of the night by himself, so he went to the one place that brought him happiness, the stables. The sound and smell of the horses had always been comforting to him. He climbed to the loft and sat in the opened door. He took off his pistol belt and got comfortable. The wind picked up a little, and the clean smell of the mountain air mixed with the hay stirred though the opening. A light rain started, and Charlie sat listening to it on the roof. He looked toward heaven and saw the drops coming at him out of the dark sky. Everything was being cleaned by the rain and the smell was sweet. He fell asleep thinking about pretty girls, fast horses and a good steak. Life was pretty simple if you didn't fight it.
