Please draw a picture of me playing the piano, and a carricature appeared.
I was walking through the senior's complex. There was a gentleman drawing portraits of the seniors. "Do you wish your portrait to be drawn?" he asked. Permission was granted. He said to me, "What is your favorite hobby?" My friends know that I play the piano. So I said to him, "Please draw a picture of me playing the piano." Within thirty minutes he had completed my portrait. I look like Juliette, I said to myself. The picture of me playing the piano was whimsical. I felt right at home. This was delightful I thought, what a talented gentleman. I was happy I had stopped to chat and ask. To this very day, I am proud to have that carricature in my living-room. The gentleman had drawn a large carricature of me and beside that, another of me playing the piano. The children finally have a good picture of me, I said to myself. A career in Hollywood could guest next, you never know. Who said that being a senior is dull. copyright Gwen Schutz
