Phydoux And Instant Messaging

Phydoux has been introduced to another suspecious term, "IM". He doesn't know what it is by his email budding is suggesting they do it. Well, I'll let him tell you about it.

My email Buddy, “Iscratchfleas” gets stranger and stranger. I don’t know what to think. First he emails me and I’m excited about it. Then his emails start talking about things that a dog catcher would be concerned about. Now he has emailed me and said he wants to do “instant message”. He called it IM. I guess I know by now that some dogs don’t spell as well as others, just as some don’t smell as good as others. I’m sure he wanted to talk about dog food. Every good dog know that the best dog food is IAMS. Surely he couldn’t misspell that, could he?

I have noticed he has tried to use some strange spelling. He puts “4U” when he means “for you.” He has a bunch of words I can’t pronounce. They are all spelled in CAPS. Here are a few of them, so you’ll know what I’m talking about: LOL, ROFL, IMHO, etc. I don’t know if he is that bad at spelling or if he is a little crazy. But to put IM for the best dog food in the world is beyond my ability to comprehend.

When I told him I didn’t comprehend, he started talking about us being on the computer at the same time and he writes a line and I see it and then I write a line and he sees it. Now THAT’S weird! How can we be on a computer at the same time? Why would we want to be? What would happen if there’s a car that needs to be chased when it’s my time to write my line?
I see all kinds of complications.

Do you suppose this dog is really not a dog and he’s trying to entrap me? I’m becoming more and more uneasy about Iscratch. Remember, he appeared out of the blue. I thought I was the only dog who wrote email and then he wrote me. It’s all starting to follow a theme. I don’t think he has my best interests in mind.

I really expect that he is going to want to meet me soon at some public place – like a dog show. If he can get me exchanging lines with him the next thing he will want is to meet me face to face and smell me. When he gets me there, I will be off property and he will let a dog catcher know I’m there and I’ll have to go to the pound. Or......could it be....he IS a dog catcher?

Do you think I’m too mistrusting? Are my theories beginning to make as much sense to you as they are for me? Or, am I barking up the wrong tree? I don’t want to do anything rash but I’m going to think this thing through. I think I will deny the IM request and go eat some IAMS and try to figure this out. When I’ve made my decision, I’ll let you know. Meanwhile, thanks for the good Thanksgiving leftovers. And, my I say, if there had been more leftovers, you wouldn’t be as fat today!

I love Phydoux, but like him, do not understand instant messanging: still trying to learn the Internet...thing. LOL Well done, Larry.

Phydoux, instant messaging is a novel and great way to communicate with folks I Really Like. Personally, I'd never do this with someone that I don't know. Too risky, I think. Be smart, stay home, love Larry and most importantly, if your gut says its not a good thing - you're probably right.

Its like nobody has the time to write the full word so we, the less nerds, can understand.
Next years we will be celebrating a gobble gobble TGD.
