Sierra has this nagging suspicion that something is not right

Five years, today was going to mark Sierra's fifth year of being cancer free.  She waited in the doctors office as patiently as she could, nervousness entered her body, but she prayed it away.  She had been five years cancer free, and needed to here that she could walk away here cancer free today, she had lost both of her legs to cancer, her hair, and her aspirations of being a ballet dancer, she wasn't going toloose her life, and she hadn't.

" Sierra I will go with you to youir appointment if you want."

" No you have dance class, and your daughter to tend to."

Serena had married four years earlier, to a man name Marcus, a great man, but he was a hard worker and was often working.  They had a little girl Jamee three years earlier.  A beautiful little girl that Sierra adored.

" I wish I could have children, but all the Chemo and radiation have probably made that impossible."

" You never know Sierra, the Lord works in mysterious ways."

" That he does, the fact that I am here is a miracle."

" I thank God everyday for that miracle, I really don't know what I would do without my twin sister."

Although Serena was now married Sierra still lived with her sister and her family.  Marcus had no problem with that, because he had heard over and over again how close Serena had come to loosing Sierra.

Sierra shifted through pages of outdated People and Time Magazines.  Nothing really took her eye, no intersting articles, she was focussed on all the times she had been here before, especially the times she had been here with Kelly and Jacqueline.  Her heart broke thinking of Kelly's death, she would have been almost sixteen a teenager.

It was still hard for Jacqueline thinking about the loss of her beautiful daughter, but she had remaried two years earlier and had a little boy who was now fourteen months old.  He was a little charmer, a little boy she had named Adam.

Lord I am scared, I don't know what to do, what if I am sick again?

Sierra had this suspicion that something was not right, a suspicion she prayed was wrong.  This was one battle she did not want to have to fight again.

" Sierra you're worried aren't you."  Serena had stopped by even against her sisters wishes, because she knew Sierra needed her.

" I'm scared something does not feel right."

" I pray you are wrong, but remember I willl fight with you, and for you."

To Be Continued
