My name is Milena, I am the daughter of Anja and Arkadiy, and I was born in Russia.

My name is Milena, I am the daughter of Anja and Arkadiy, and I was born in Russia.  I was abandoned as a baby and Mamma and Daddy came back from America to adopt me.  My sister Ksana was already with them, she was born a year before me and she was abandoned to, we were abandoned because we were not perfect.  Ksana has a spinal cord defect, and can't walk without crutches or heavy braces, and I have a mild case of Cerebral Palsy, I can walk but I have a kind of funny walk, but I am able to talk fine, Cerebral Palsy can sometimes affect a persons speech and in severe cases it can make it hard for a person to learn, some people with Cerebral Palsy are always baby like, but I have a mild case, and I live a normal teenage life.  I just can't run or walk to well, but compared to what my brothers and sisters go through that's not to bad.

Mamma and Daddy teach my sisters my brother and I about our heritage, they want us to know about where we come from, and why they came to America.

Mamma and Daddy left for America almost twenty years ago to get away from the Communist Regime, they said they were tired of living in a country that did not allow you to worship in the way you felt right, and a country that you had to wait six hours in a line for a loaf of bread.

Mamma and Daddy were Orthodox Christians but before they came to the states they went to a secret meeting and found out the truth about Jesus Christ now they are born again Christians, and they say they like it because it's more about faith and less about ritual.

I guess I better be getting to bed, it's waaay past my bed time.

God Bless

Milena is a beautiful young lady, and you are so good at these stories! You are offering hope to the disabled, and you are also educating others about various types of disability. This is much needed! Very well done; brava!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. ;D
