To hear her talk, it's been years since I lost my ability to walk, not weeks.

Dear Rebekah Rachel,

Do you ever think your mom just doesn't get it? I am starting to think so about mine. She seems to think I should just bounce back from all of this and not be letting it get me down anymore. To hear her talk, it's been years since I lost my ability to walk, not weeks. She and I got into a fight tonight when Maddy was at therapy. She's tired of me moping around and being depressed all the time. To her, it's like what I've been through is just a piece of cake. She has no idea how all of this has effected me, and I am not even back in the real world yet, having to face high school in a wheelchair fulltime. I guess she's forgotten what it's like to be my age but she has no idea what it's like to be in my shoes, when she was in highschool, she had all her abilities. I get so mad when I think about the discussion we had. I know I said some mean things, and upset her, but she wasn't even listening to me. I don't know where she is now, but she left before Maddy got back. I made Maddy swear not to tell anyone because I was crying when she got back. You can't tell anyone I told you, I just had to get this off my chest. I am going to try to go back to sleep now and get some rest. Tomorrow's my birthday, but I doubt it's even going to be worth waking up for. Especially since I ran Mama off.
