We are adding to our family, we found out just recently Hisako had an older sister sent to the states to live with relatives, but they could not take care of the child, because of her health issues. Her name is Cho and it's meaning is butterfly, which seems fitting for this beautiful child.
Cho was born with Spina Biffida and requires a wheelchair, but she is a beautiful young girl, who only wants love, and she is adjusting well. She has been with our family a few weeks now and she is loving it here. She likes church and is anxious to start school. She will be going into the third grade, and she is as smart as a whip. Already she devours books like candy.
Chett and I are looking into possible therapies for Cho and there is a good hospital in Sacramento and in Oakland, so we are looking into doing all we can for this beautiful young woman but for now we are just enjoying watching her and Hisako react. Hisako had never met her big sister, and we did not know about her until Hisako's birth parents contacted us begging us to take Cho as well. We had to make sure everything was done legally of course, but thankfully they were able to expedite everything so Cho could be with her little sister.
Right now Chett and Cho are playing a board game on the living room floor. Cho has to lean against the couch for support but it gets her out of the chair for a short period of time and soon I am sure she will be tired and go to bed.
Well Hisako has climbed out of bed again, better tuck her in.
