Buon Natale,Christmas greetings from Italy.

Buon Natale,Christmas greetings from Italy.

My name is Alessia and I am ten years old and I am writing this for a class in school. In school we are learning English. I hope I am doing well.

Christmas in italy is very beautiful, trees lit up, the wonderful foods. I love the rich sauces in the Pasta, the Seaseme Seed cookies for La Befanca. She gives gifts to the good and punishment to the bad. Unlike America, we do not do our main gift exchange until Jan.06, because in church we learn that is when the wise men reached the baby Jesus.

In school we learn many things about America, and their traditions, but I like our Italain traditions as well. Perhaps one day I will go to America and see for myself what it is like, I have a pen pal in America, and she tells me many things about America. I think I should like this place.

It is growing late here in Milan, so I must go to sleep now.
