The Youngest Victims Aatifa's Story

We were at one time practicing Muslims, but in the eyes of the jihadist we committed the greatest of sins by denying Allah and accepting the Christians Savior Jesus, and being a Christian in a land full of Jihadists who think that we as girls do not know anything and think that all Americans are infidels is hard, but we are glad we came to Christ.

Greetings from Kabul Afghanistan, my name is Aatifa and I am twelve years old, but a few years ago when I was only a little girl of six I became a victim of war.  I lost my leg in a war I should not be old enough to even think about, but for years here in Kabul we thought about it all the time, and no matter how hard we tried to convince ourselves it was the Americans at fault, the bomb that took my leg, did not belong to the Americans, but to the Taliban who made their presence known.

Others in my family have been injured in war as well, but my injury was the most severe.  I lost my leg, but I am alive, and I dream of one day leaving Kabul and going to America.  Mom says she has a younger cousin and her family in America, so it may be possible.  I hope so, because I want to go somewhere where I am free to worship Jesus.

God Bless

Aatifa

Dear Aatifa,

You are a blessing to all of us who can read your story. Yes you are always free to worship Jesus in your heart. I pray someday soon that you will be here in the USA to worship in a Chris loving community.

O, I pray young Aatifa's dream comes true that she makes it to America! Such a brave young girl that has seen far too much in her twelve years; war is hell on everybody, but it's the children who sadly suffer the most. Well done, Michelle!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :(
