Publishing The Write House
By Edwin Hurdle
Friday, October 12, 2007

Rated "G" by the Author.

This is a short story about my experience in publishing The Write House.

Publishing The Write House was challenging, but at the same time it was exciting. The reason it was challenging because I've never done anything like  publishing a poetry book before.I've learned what it takes to get published and I got use to knowing that aspect of the literary world.Getting my poetry book published was one of the proudest moments of my life.It felt like giving birth to a baby. When I first received the finish product of my book, I couldn't believe my eyes.

You are correct Edwin - seeing your own book in your hand for the first time is amazing. Living in New York must be interesting - I visited your city many years ago for a weekend and found it fascinating but so large it was a tad overwhelming for a small town guy like me. All the best. You made me smile with this, because as you and Gwen have said, it's exactly how a writer feels when he finally sees that book published and holds it in his hands!
