The Roaring Twenties is the backdrop for this touching story of a young woman's struggle to overcome her past mistakes.
NANCY SANDERSON is a spoiled rich kid growing up in the 1920’s. After a strict upbringing by her grandmother, famed businesswoman, AMELIA WOODS-SANDERSON, Nancy desires excitement and freedom. She seeks the company of NATE CONNERS, a wild-hearted college sophomore. He introduces her to the darker side of their quaint New England town.
Nancy’s grandmother has plans of her own for her wayward granddaughter: to attend a finishing school, and settle down with the wealthy, smart, and well-connected ROBERT EMERSON, Esquire. Robert Emerson is no stranger to Nancy, they’d met briefly some years earlier. She considers him a dull do-gooder, and he believes she will outgrow her wildness.
