Johnny is coping with a fractured tailbone and a sore back, in which he incurred last week after a bad fall.

Dear Journal~
Hi! This is your (injured) friend, Johnny, writing. I am still in a lot of pain, and it is hard for me to be able to sit comfortably. I fell last week (I went to get into my wheelchair, except that I MISSED the wheelchair completely and ended up on the floor), and I injured my back and busted my tailbone. I am in a lot of pain still, and it is hard for me to try to look at the good side of things. I am so sore now it isn't funny, and I have to sit on a pillow. It hurts to stand, it hurts to sit, and forget about sleeping on my back or on my side...OW! I have not slept well since my fall, and I am so tired now I am about to fall over!
We went to Louisiana this past weekend; we went to the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival, and I had an okay time; but I couldn't really do much, and I was miserable from the pain in my butt and back. My sister, the star, performed, and of course, she got the glory, while I got nothing but pity or looks of sadness whenever they saw me and my stupid chair. I was kinda' grouchy with my family, and I groused at them when they tried to get me to eat, but I haven't felt much like eating because of this darn pain! I was nauseated all weekend, and it was all I could do to keep from ralphing all over the where!
I am now back home here in Tennessee, and my butt is sorer than sore from sitting in that stupid bus for a million hours, and I am now holed up in my room, trying to get my butt to stop complaining. My back isn't very amused either, and every time I try to move, it is pure agony for me! You know that song, "Deep, dark depression, excessive misery", from the old "Hee Haw" show? Well, that's me as of late! YOU try smiling or being happy with a bum that's broken or a sore back! NOT easy, my friend, NOT easy AT all!
I got an email from Rebekkah Cohen, my friend in California, and I have to write to her; maybe I will do it tomorrow if I feel better. I just hate it when I get sick or injured; seems my whole life is nothing but a long series of doctor's appointments, therapy sessions, or times in the hospital! GRR!
I will write more later, but I just wanted to tell you that I am still around (and still as sore as ever!). I am going to try to get some rest and get off my butt; it's really screamin' for mercy! Take care!
~Love, your (sore-butted) pal, Johnny. :(
