Louisiana emails her newest California friend after Regina April Singleton has emailed her another letter.

Tuesday, June 21, 2005 (first day of summer!! :) ), 10:34 a.m., C.D.T.~

Nashville, Tennessee, written during my break from work *grins*~

Dear Regina April~

Hi! Thank you so much for your uplifting, inspiring letter; it was so good to hear from you again! I loved the picture of you walking on your crutches...those are some pretty blue ones! LOL Seems to me that you are coming back from your illness; and that is so marvelous to see! Better to get active than to sit around and feel sorry for yourself, isn't it? When I was having my back troubles, it was so hard for me to try to enjoy life and try to maintain an active way, but the pain was crippling at times, and at times, I would be in tears, I was in so much pain...but my Cajun pride kept me going, and since I became saved, the Lord began working in my life, and He helped me through my bad days as well.

Thank you for telling me where you live. I know now where it is. So you are relatively close to Kendra and Louisa, as well as America. Well, I am over a thousand miles away, in Nashville, Tennessee, and I love it here. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else...maybe I would want to move back to Louisiana, but I have too many bad memories of my three kids being sick and then dying; and I still have trouble dealing with that sometimes...there is nothing worse to a parent than to lose a don't expect to outlive your child....but on to more happier pleasantries...

Ronee' IS a little Miracle...but then, so are ALL my just seems that Ronee' has had to endure more than most...she wasn't expected to live beyond a few hours after her premature birth, but God saw to it that she did...she went through more with her health in 12 short years than what most adults go through in their entire life; yet through it all, she remains incredibly upbeat, and she has the happiest, sunniest outlook on life...she is being used by God in a mighty way, not with just her singing, but with her writing, and her compassion for those who are less fortunate than she is. She is really blossoming in her Christian walk, and when people look at her, they see the Love of Christ all over her, and she knows how to minister to others! Johnny is another one who has had to struggle, and he wasn't expected to live to the age of five after he was first diagnosed with the muscular dystrophy, but he has already outlived the doctors' predictions by an incredibly seven and a half YEARS, and he is still "plugging away" now, at the age of twelve-and-a-half! Johnny is also growing in his walk as a Christian, and he just loves the Lord with his whole heart! So Anna Faith still is bragging about Ronee'...well, Ronee' thinks the world of Anna Faith, and she still talks to her on the phone at least once a week! She also has her best friend, Nicole, but lately, Nicole has seemed quite "distant", and they don't seem to be so "palsy-walsy" as they once were.

I am looking forward to meeting America Hope (is she with Kendra yet, or are the Williamses still waiting for her?) and Chelsea; they seem like great kids! Well, we are looking forward to meeting OUR newest Miracle to be, Janica Kryzstina, and she will be here before Hallowe'en, from the looks of things. That was her picture I put on your letter, it is a copy of the one that the adoption agency sent to us, and we think that she is absolutely aDORable! We can't WAIT for little Janica to come to our happy home! We are past excited about THAT! :)

I am glad you enjoyed my books, "A Family Made Out Of Rainbows And Miracles" and its sequel, "...And The Miracles Continue"! I really enjoyed working on them, and when I first learned that I was being published, it was a dream come true for me! Now I have three books under my belt, and there may be more to come if the Lord sees to it! :) Speaking of books, I am reading one now by LaNelle Colter about her Miracle Family, and it is entitled "African Blessings". It is really good and it is so uplifting! I just LOVE books that make a reader feel good all over! :) (I have a whole slew of books of this genre, and I enjoy them all!)

How is the weather there in Cali? Here it is sunny, with temps in the 80's, and I am sure that Bill (he is off today from his job at Wal*Mart) is already busy playing "Mr. Mom"! LOL Meanwhile, I am stuck inside my office, in a moldy hospital, just slaving my life away! LOL (NOT really, as I AM on break now, but still...I'd much rather be outside, enjoying the weather, instead of WORKING! LOL) I hope the weather there is lovely!

I am sure that Johnny and Ronee' will appreciate the good wishes and prayers. Johnny is doing very well, and he has seemed to have gotten through all the testings. If anything, he is relieved that it is all overwith, and he is especially relieved that his muscular dystrophy hasn't gotten worse, which is a MAJOR miracle!! :) As for Ronee', she is still in pain, and she has started walking again, this time on a walker...but she is still walking for the first time since her surgery almost a week ago! That is progress! :) Ronee' will be released from the hospital on Thursday, the way things are looking now, and she will then continue her recovery at home. I am sure she will be happy to be home soon! We are looking forward to having Ronee' back home, and I know her kitten, "Cajun", is too! She has a beautiful tortie with white Maine Coon, and they are the best of friends! Chances are, if you see Ronee', you will then see her cat following right behind! :)

Well, Regina, I will go for now...time to get me something to eat before I go back on the clock! I will write more later; take care, and continue to be the inspiration you already are! God bless you mightily, and write again as soon as you can! I am looking forward to hearing from you again!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your new Tennessee friend, Louisiana Mayrah Sandusky. :)

P.S.: Here's a picture of Ronee' taken last summer, when she was swimming. Nothing slows her down, as you can see! She is a very happy child! Enjoy!
