Dear Louie~

Hi! I was pleasantly surprised to get an answer from you; it's been so very long since you last written I was ready to "write you off"! LOL I was wondering if you ever got my last letter or if anything bad had happened to you! I am so happy to hear that your family is well, and I am glad that your baby boy, Arjun, is out of the hospital! That is terrific news!

Travis, Reba, and Loretta are all fine; thank you for asking. They are all getting so big, and we are getting ready to add to our family. We are in the process of adopting a child from Thailand, a little girl we will call Wynonna. We found out that we were approved, and we are just waiting for the "all-clear" to be given; then little Wynonna can come to America and join our family!

We are all excited beyond belief, and we are already counting the days to when Wynonna will join us! (Wynonna is two, and she was born with part of her brain missing. She has severe physical disabilities and she may be mentally disabled too; so we are trying to get ready with the challenges that we will no doubt face.)

I am glad that your family is getting along. I got your Christmas card by the way, and I loved the picture that you enclosed! My, you sure do have some family! I have never in all my days seen such a big family! WOW! You are most definitely what I would call a "SUPER-FAMILY"! :) I would love to have more kids myself, but I don't think I would be brave enough to handle fifty-something kids! You have GOT to have the heart to do something like that, which you OBVIOUSLY do! :)

The weather here is sleety and yuck; very icy--numerous accidents, the possibility of school closures tomorrow due to the treacherous weather condidtions, and many people going to the ER for slips and falls. We have been hearing the ambulance, police, and fire truck sirens going all afternoon, and there was a bad accident just up the way from us. There was a massive traffic pile-up, and what usually takes us about five minutes to get back home took twenty. It was NOT fun.

The kids were bored of sitting there, and they got cranky, and I was ready to throttle them after a while! Loretta was being especially grouchy! It got to the point to where I had to put her up in the front car seat with ME because she would just NOT behave, no matter HOW much I asked her to!

Louie, I have written a book myself. It will be out sometime next year. I just mailed the manuscript off. It is about two little girls who lost their mother to a fire and how they ended up living with a new family. I don't know if the manuscript will be accepted or not; all I can do is pray and hope that it IS. This is my first venture into writing, and I am hoping that I will have a book with my name on it. That would be too awesome!

I am glad that you are doing a fourth book. I have read your two books abou the family, but I have not read the one you did about nursing. Is it true life or is it fiction? What is the title of the book? I will have to look for it if it is available at our local bookstore.

Well, I guess this is about it for now. Other than the weather--and Loretta driving me CRAZY with her whining!--, nothing much is new. I will try to write again as soon as I can. Again, I thank you for writing! Do keep in touch, and don't be a stranger!

God bless you always! I will let you know anything about Wynonna as soon as I hear anything!

(((HUGS))) and love, your friend in Kentucky, Jenna Fiona Meadows. :)
