Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux writes in her journal before the school bus comes.

Tuesday, March 14, 2006, 6:05 a.m. (*YAWN*), C.S.T.~
Dear Journal~
Hi! This is Ronee' Le-Anne. I am doing much better; I was sick, but I am juat about recovered. (I had a flare of my JRA. I haven't had one of those in a very long time; I forgot just how bad they made me feel! *ow*) I was sick on Friday and Saturday, and I still felt lousy on Sunday morning, so I ended up missing church. I was so mad; I absolutely hate missing church!
I also wasn't feeling too swift yesterday because we had severe weather all day, and my nerves are a wreck. I am glad the heavy weather has moved on, but whenever I heard those darn tornado sirens going on and off all day, I was more than a little nervous! I absolutely abhor severe weather!!
Today, I am doing so much better. I still feel a bit on the sore side, but it is much better than it was! I am doing better than my brother, Johnny: Johnny is having more in the way of weakness, and he is having more problems with his breathing (and with his swallowing); it is really scary! He sees his muscular dystrophy doctor tomorrow; I just wonder what is going to happen to him---I worry about him so much!
Johnny's girlfriend, Rebekkah Cohen, isn't doing well either. She has pain insensitivity disorder (shc can't feel pain; that would be sooo nice!!), and if she bangs her leg or arm or falls, she can get an infection somehow; it's really weird. She is 12, and she is a ballerina star in the making: she absolutely lives for ballet!
Rebekkah has been in the hospital, and there is talk that she may end up losing her leg. I hope not; that would absolutely devastate her (and Johnny)! I will have to pray extra hard for her tonight and in the coming days!
Maman is still busy writing her letters, and she just found out that her fourth book is due to come out later this year or early in 2007. She wrote a children's book about our family. I hope to read it when it comes out! :) I am so happy for her! :)
I wrote a second book too, about living with chronic disability (not just me, but also my brothers and sisters, too), and I wonder if the manuscript has been accepted (or not). I hope it is; I would absolutely cry if I was rejected!!
I can't wait until Friday, March 17--it is St. Patrick's Day, and our school is having a party complete with St. Paddy's Day treats and Irish music! Than that night, we are going to a huge St. Patrick's Day Fest (I am performing there in the evening; I will be doing Cajun music, no less! LOL), and I will get to feast on Irish food and hear that wonderful Celtic music that gets the Irish side of me soaring!! :) (I am part Irish, on my birth mama's side; I also have Spanish, Cherokee Indian, and African American in me besides the Cajun French.) I went to the Irish celebraton last year, and I had a blast!! :) I sure love to watch those Irish stepdancers, and I love the sound of an Irish fiddle and bagpipe! It's too cool! :)
I am sure that soon at church we will be starting to work on our songs for the upcoming Easter Cantata. I will probably be involved in that somehow; seems that Pastor Bilkey always tags me to do a solo in there somehow. The Easter Cantata is always a huge deal at Christ Community Assembly of God Church! :) And the church is always packed at Easter time! :)
Well, I think the bus should be coming in fifteen minutes, so I'd better get my stuff and go wait for it. I will write in here again. Take care, o dear journal! C ya!
~Love, your gal pal, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux.

KAREN~~~~~ I'm going to do my AAIIEEEeeeeeeee right now! *lol*--And it's in pink. Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear that Ronee is doing well, and I hope that Rebekkah doesn't lose her leg. My Mom did before she died and it was aweful for her. And as for as severe weather, I don't like strong winds either! Scary stuff!
I may have some Irish in me. My brother was a carrot top red head! I mean his hair was like the color of a carrot. And then, I was there with my hair white like corn silk, *lol*--and my mama said that my white hair was just as thin as corn silk too.
Thank you Karen. I adore your stories. There are so many I'm tracking that are prolific writers and I work and sometimes don't have time to come in and read everything. But, sometimes I do catch up.
God bless! Love ya much, sha and Laissez les bon temps rouler!!!!!
Your cajun friend on this end,
Mary Lynn~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

Karen
Better to hear tornado sirens, rather than air raid sirens, at least we can sleep peacefully in our beds at night, knowing our Government has got it right on Defense and National Security !
Enjoy the leprechauns and shamrock on St Patrick's Day !
Love and Hugs
