Ronee' is having a very hard time emotionally and physically.

Dear Journal~

Hi! This is your friend, Ronee' Le-Anne. I am not doing so good, I sprained my ankle the other day, and I am in a lot of pain. I have to use my crutches until my ankle heals, and it is hard for me to get around!

I sprained my ankle when I stepped in a hole. I was running around the yard one minute, and the next--OW! Pain and a-gony! Down I went, and for a second, I thought I broke my ankle because when I went into the hole, my ankle popped really loud, and it hurt!! Bad!!

Daddy took me to the Emergency Room; I was crying in pain. X-rays revealed that I only sprained my ankle, but I now have to use crutches for a week or so until my stupid ankle heals. It is still quite swollen and tender when I try to walk on it, and whenever it hurts me to where I can't deal with the pain, I take my pain medication, which makes me all goofy-headed.

I also have found out that my neighor and friend, Opri, died this morning. He would have been fourteen years old next month, on the 11th, and he died of kidney failure. He has lived with health problems all his life, and he was on the list to get another kidney, but he was too weak--and much too sick--to survive any longer.

Opri and I went back a long way: I met him when I was really small, and he and I were very good friends. For a time, I considered him to be my boyfriend, but I never told mommy that because she would have told me that I was much too young to be worrying about boys!

I also found out that we were almost attacked by terrorists, but the plot was, thankfully stopped. It is like living the nightmares of September 11, 2001, all over again, and now the airports are on heightened alert. I don't know why people can't stop these stupid terrorists! I hate living in fear like this!!

I  worry about what is going on in Israel, especially now that we are going to get a new brother from there in a few months or so. I pray and hope that Gabriel Abrahiam is going to be okay...

Well, I am going to go now; I am too depressed to write any more. Take care, and God bless!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your very sad friend, Ronee' Le-Anne. :( >tears<

Opri died? No wonder our Ronee is feeling so miserably depressed. And I hope her ankle heals swiftly, and that much brighter days are ahead.

So much to fall on shoulders of one so young... but this is the world she is living in. Such courage and fortitude amidst the storms is exemplary and inspiring - her fears are very real and I love the way you highlight her overarching concern for others and the world around her, inspite of her own besieging pain. She will certainly be someone who will grow to have a true grasp on real-life issues... and we should listen with awe and respect, whatever her age. TY and bless you, Kate xx

We'll get through this, Ronee. The smart people will outthink the jerks. We will find a way to deal with all this.

So much sadness...I pray for a window of happiness. Ronee...sorry about the sprained ankle. Hope it gets better soon. In the meantime, chin up...I know the loss of Opri is heart-breaking, but God knows best, right?
