Louisiana is looking forward to seeing friends again.

Tuesday, May 8, 2007, nearly 8:00 in the morning, somewhere in Louisiana, headed north towards home in Tennessee~

Dear Journal~

This entry won't be long; we are on our way home to Tennessee after a super weekend of Cajun music, wonderful Cajun food, and Cajun style dancin'. We had a great time at the Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge; the weather was perfect--a ltitle warm, a little humid, perhaps, but that's okay. At least it didn't rain (much); we did have some scattered showers yesterday, but nothing like what the Central and Southern Plains have been experiencing lately: day after day of severe storms.

I bet they are tired out; I pray that the weather eases for them soon, that the patterns change...

We are looking forward to seeing Audrey Callaway and her family: they are staying at her brother Wayne's house; they arrived safely. Audrey also adopted two twin girls, Michelle and Melissa, and I hear they are adorable. Rebekkah Cohen is in Tennessee, too, and I didn't know that until I got an e-mail from her mother, Naomi; more friends to see in the coming days once we return home!

I hope they are not mad for finding out that we weren't home. I will have to explain to them what's been going on once I see them.

The kids are crashed out in their beds, snoring peacefully; Bill is driving, and I am peckin' away in this journal. I hope the hospital is still standing. LOL I will be looking forward to returning to work; I mis my co-workers, I miss the patients, I miss the hospital atmosphere!

I am glad I do have understanding bosses for all the time I've taken off or the time I will be taking off. They know I've adopted new children, and so they make allowances for that. They also know how important the Crawfish Festival and events like the CMA Music Festival are to me; so they allow me to attend both. I have had to miss them before in the past, but it seems lately I've been able to attend them every year.

Now, it hurts the ol' paycheck when I'm not there, but that's okay. God still provides the money, and I don't have to worry about bills.

Well, I am going to go now; time to take over the wheel. Bill is trying to go to sleep;  he's already tried to go off the road twice until I yelled, "BILL! GET BACK ON THE ROAD!" Think I will let him sleep; he's yawning his head off. Take care, and God bless! Will be writing in here in a few days for a full report~

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Louisiana, Louisiana Mayrah. LOL

This story sounds like a "spin-down" after an exciting trip and an enjoyable time for all at the Crawfish Festival. Enjoyable read. Be safe.
