Stinko is bored, so he writes in his journal prior to doing the dishes.

Stinko here. Am bored to tears (well, not quite, but close!), so I decided to write in my journal prior to tackling the mound of dishes in the sink, on the sink.

We just had supper: we had spaghetti pie, french fries, and three bean salad; for dessert, we had peach cobbler. Very good; I am still full! LOL

I am happy to report that I made good at the doctor's last week. No problems with my health, am a normal, growing teenaged boy. A huge relief. I always worry when I have those physicals; am always afraid doctor will find something seriously wrong. I needn't have worried.

Ma and Pa were pleased, as was Stevie, my brother. Stevie had his physical yesterday; he's been doing better since his surgery. No new worries for him; a huge relief for all of us!

Weather is awful outside: Nashville area under a winter storm warning; we may get upwards to a foot of snow. Which means I get to break out the shovel (again!), get my exercise while my kid brother gets to stay toasty warm in the house, and go "Neener, neener, neener!!" as he watches me.

Grr!! I hate kid brothers at times, especially ones who have health problems that aren't his fault!! I tell ya--life sure isn't fair at times--especially mine!!

Right now it's sleeting hard out, and--hey!! What was that?? Was that lightning?? The sky got bright as daylight all of a sudden! Oh, yeah! Definitely lightning; it's thundering; sounds like it is right outside the bedroom! (D'uh!! Weather happenin' right outside; of course, and not ten miles away!! Boy, Stinko, you're so stoopid at times!!) We are expecting snow, as I previously mentioned above; however, it hasn't quite made the transition yet. Still sleeting like a motherbear!

Hope we don't lose power! Don't feel like writing this out by candle light, doing it by hand; it's too much work! I do enough of that in school; at home, the computer rules! It's easier on the fingers, for one thing!

I swear I have arthritis at times; fingers, knuckles, wrists givin' me no end of trouble!!

Wonder if I should tell ma how my hands have been botherin' me...yeah, maybe I need to! This is not natural! Kids like me shouldn't have pain in their joints!!

Damn kids: sisters are fighting again; can hear them squawking, pushing each other; sounds like they are going to push each other throuth the walls! Now ma and pa are yellin', cursin' at them; oh, dear! If pastor at church only knew; he'd have 'em on their faces, repentin' of their sinful ways in an instant!!

(Oops! Just realized I used the D-word myself; now it looks like I will  have to repent myself! LOL And I call myself a Christian...not a very good one! LOL)

I wonder if we'll have school on Monday--if we don't get any more snow between now and then, maybe we will; if not--oh, well! Hope we get the day off; I can use another snow day, another day to sleep in! LOL

Well, ma's callin' me to tackle the dishes, so I'm going to do them (begrudgingly, of course; dishes not one of my favorite things!! If you ask me, doing dishes is a pain in the tukus!!). I will write in here again another day. Take care and God bless!

~"Stinko". :)

A lot of what you write; I can relate to. I know that you know this. Thank you, Karen. Love, peace, and my very best wishes to you; amour et paix, ton ami de la C-B, Canada,

At our house, the bathroom is the excuse for not doing dishes... It is amazing to me how many children can wait to use the bathroom until right after dinner time when the "dishes" word is used! hee, hee...

Karen,

A normal teenaged boy, wanting to journal, to do anything except dishes (and shoveling and going to school) - well done!
