Marlayne's Story, Continued. (Part Two)

Marlayne Goodwrench, once morbidly obese, continues to make strides in her life.

Marlayne here.  Marlayne Goodwrench.  Thought I'd write in here while the gettin's good.

Am off work today and tomorrow; might as well take advantage of it.  It's just me and the cat, and my cat is now looking at me, with a look on his sweet, furry face, as if to say: "Feed me!" LOL

After I feed the cat, I may do some laundry; only have two loads.  Nothing too painful.  After that, I may go to the store, get some needed foodstuffs, new detergent, new necessities that I need to get through the day.  May even go out to eat, may go to Olive Garden, have one of their scrumptious salads, which are to die for! Yumm!

I am enjoying life:  work is going splendidly; the kids are such a joy, especially Ricardo, who is a little angel--and a living miracle.  He was born with hydrocephalus (water on the brain), is blind, and has some degree of cerebral palsy; yet his personality lights up the room whenever he appears.  People can't be sad whenever Ricardo Gonzales enters the scene!

I also love Emily Renee' Pickler; she is eight, and has Down sydrome.  She hasn't been in school lately; she's at home, recovering from her latest heart surgery.  She's on the mend, but it will be at least a month or two before she's able to go back into the world; right now she's homebound until she heals. We really miss her; she's a real cutie pie with her red curly hair and big brown eyes that miss little.

I wish I could take some of those kids home with me, raise them as my own! LOL  They make my world so much better!  God really had plans for me when I lost all that excess weight and turned my life around; now I'm getting blessed like you wouldn't believe!

I wish other people had it as good as I do right now!

Well, I am going to attempt to get out of bed; Winston (my cat) is trying to sit on my face; he won't leave me alone until I feed him!  He's a mess!  I will write in here again; take care and may God bless you as much as He's been blessing me lately!  So long for now!

~Love, your friend, Marlayne Goodwrench. :D

What a wonderful thing to reach out to others less fortunate and give so much. That is where she's finding that joy and happiness. I wish others would see and learn that it is more blessed to give than receive. Lovely, Bonnie

What a wonderful thing to take care of these special children. As for the cat, that would make me get out of bed, my Jack does it all the time.

Much Love,
Mary
