Raspberry Anne updates us on her life.

Hey!  What's goin' down??

This is your friend, Raspberry.  Raspberry Quigley.  I am sorry I haven't written since Labor Day (September; it's now headin' towards the end of October!); it's just I've been bogged down with homework or other school business.  I hope you understand.

Church also keeps me busy.  I'm taking a "Newcomer's Class", to learn about the beliefs of my church that I'm going to (I wasn't always Assembly of God; I grew up Mormon before I accepted Christ at the age of twelve); it's interesting.  I also sing in the kid's choir every Sunday.

Church is one of my main priorities right now because in a few weeks is our first annual Fall Festival, as an alternative for the traditional Hallowe'en celebrations.  There'll be music (praise and worship, natch), face painting, games, rides, food, and lots of opportunity for fellowshipping/witnessing to others about the love of Jesus and His ministry.  I'm really looking forward to it!

It's getting cold here already.  The leaves are past their peak, and some nights we've already had a hard freeze.  All the plants/flowers are gone for another year, and the grass has turned a wintery brown color.  We may have snow soon; I feel it in the air.  Won't be long before the auroras start their nightly showing.  They're common 'round these parts this time of year; they're magical to watch!

I have been trying to get along with my sisters Blueberry, Cherry, and Strawberry, but Blue (she's the one in the middle, the ten-year-old) is making it difficult.  She and I are about the same size/build; she's always in my clothes, borrowing them without her asking me first, then fails to return them!  It's no wonder I can't find my clothes because the little nimrod has 'em!!  GRRR!!  I get so mad I want to pull her head clean off her body!!!!

Mom and dad keep threatening that if Blue or I don't keep snipin' at each other they're going to bump heads (ours)!  We're drivin' 'em crazy with our constant bickering!!

I still enjoy watching the guys on the football team, but our team sucks this year.  They've won like two games, and have lost five.  If they lose again this Friday night I'm going to see about switchin' schools; I'm tired of rooting for a losing team!!

Now that there's nothin' to watch on television (I was a huge fan of AGT; love that show!!), I spend lots of my free time (that's a rare thing nowadays!) reading, gabbing on the phone, perusing the annual Christmas catelogues for my Christmas gift ideas (I'd love to have an iPOD), and thinking about the fall festival at church.  I spend time in prayer or reading my Bible (that is, when I'm not arguing with Blue).

We still have our kitties Omarian and Sweetie Puss and our puppy Baby; they get along better than we human kids do!  We need to take lessons from our pets; they can teach us much about patience, tolerance, how to get along!

Well, I'm going back to bed (no school for me today; doctor's appointment at ten, dentist's at two).  I'll write later on after my appointments.  One is bad enough, but both?  Ewww!!  (I HATE dentists!!)

God bless and have a good day!  I'll see you around!

~Love, your friend in Wisconsin, Raspberry. :)

Karen,

A delicious tale of family loves, dislikes and rivalry - a typical family with atypical names - where do you come UP with them? Well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Sibling wars drive the parents up the walls (I should know, two older brothers and a younger sis) but when outsiders gave trouble to one of us we went wham! like a bulls stampede.
So tell Dad and Mom to take it easy, you two are just growing up!

Georg
