Eddie (Edwina) Garcia is experiencing strange new symptoms.

January 27, 2009

Eddie Garcia here.

I am afraid I am not doing very well at all.  My back has decided to lock up.  The pain is absolutely monsterous:  can't move without gasping for air or muscles screaming in agony.

Don't know what I could have possibly done to aggravate my back like this.  All I can think of is it is probably due to sleeping wrong.

Or is this a new manifestation of my Multiple Sclerosis?  If it is, take it back:  don't want it.

My mother is here, taking care of me.  I can't do anything without severe pain, so she is helping me out.

Thank God for her.

She has to help me move around in bed, sit up, go to the toilet, and turn me so I don't lay in one position too long.

Mom is concerned I may have done something to my back, because I am having searing pain running down both legs.  Feels like liquid fire being poured down my nerves.  It's horrendous.

Mom says if the pain or problems with my legs doesn't ease up later today, she's taking me to the Emergency Room, so the doctors can tell us what's going on.

I pray I don't have to have an MRI.  I'm severely claustrophobic.  VERY claustrophobic.  Watched a program about a patient dying in an MRI certainly didn't help.

Just keep me in your prayers.  I will write again, when I am feeling better, able to move without pain.

Right now, grounded like an airplane in fog.

Take care and God bless!

(((HUGS))) and love, your friend,

~ Eddie.  :(

Now, both of you, cut out for a couple of days, let the body recover, stay warm, talk to each other, plan a bunch of stories and poems, laugh, have a cup of hot cocoa and over all take care of yourselves for all of us...and that's an order, you hear?!
