Harold X. Dickey has gotten the call he has been dreaming about for a very long time: he is to appear on the stage of the world famous Grand Ole Opry! You can imagine the joy he is feeling as he writes in his journal.

I can't believe my good fortune. It seems that a dream of mine is going to be realized this coming weekend: I am going to sing on the hallowed stage of the world famous Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee!!
I got the call just a little while ago; I'm shaking so hard, my fingers can hardly stay still enough for me to type on the computer keys! My heart is hammering a fast country clog dance, and I can't seem to stop smiling!
I will be appearing on Saturday, June 27, 2009, during the 7:30 set of the Opry: I am appearing with one of my heroes, none other than Tater-Boy himself, Little Jimmy Dickens!! I will also share the stage with Jimmy C. Newman and his cajun band!
As you can imagine, mamma and Jimmy (my little brother) are both happy for me. They will get to come to Nashville with me, where they will be my special guests. That means we will get to go backstage at the Grand Ole Opry House and possibly meet several of the entertainers!
(Note to self: be sure to pack plenty of film for my camera, several Sharpie markers, and of course, my autograph books!)
I can't believe that I will finally get to sing on the Grand Ole Opry after so many years of dreaming about it! One of my dearest wishes is about to come true in just a few short days!
I will be sure to tell you about it next time I write! Stay tuned for a full report from the Land of Country Music! Oh, I am so excited I could just cry!!!!
~Harold X. Dickey. :D *Big smiles here!*
